She text me earlier to ask if I can have her girls Sat night as she is meeting her boyfriend's parents. It's their dads weekend but he had them for her Sunday last week because she was ill and has said his mum was going to have them but because she had them last weekend she can't this week.
I said no as e have plans Sat night and early Sunday. Not sure if you remember the last time we had them it was an overnight which became almost 2 full days.
Anyway have I heard back from her? Have I jack!
It's sooooooo rude. I'm sick of being taken for a bloody mug all the time. My family suck BIG time.

Maybe she didn't think your reply required one from her? I'm terrible for that. If my H texts me, and the response required is nothing more than a "OK", I often don't reply.
Or she might have forgot? I always get side tracked, and it has sometimes been days before I have text people back.
I can tell you about my sh!te family, make you feel better about your own???

She probably a bit put out. Can't she take the kids with her?

Don't waste your time typing excuses. She's crap and rude. If I asked someone to have my kids and they said no is say thanks anyway. It's rude. Rude. Rude. Rude.

See this is one of my bugbears, cos for all you know she hasn't had your reply and will just rock up with them! I need to know people have received the message loud and clear!

She's replied to my Hs messages about her car she just rude! Rarrrrrr
20/11/2013 at 18:54
Surely you would say 'ok, thanks anyway' or 'ah ok sorry to ask'
Rude IMO. Its common courtesy to acknowledge someone's response.

Yup! Couldn't agree more CP. I mean it's not like I've never helped her in the past or nothing. She only turned my life upside down by moving in with the kids earlier this year. Having her over for Xmas. Babysitting whilst she goes on dates. Grerr

SW I don't blame you, you don't want to get involved in something like that
I LOVE predictive text (Weekender gives SW the benefit of the doubt)

I have been wracking my brain as to what the actual word should be!
Belle - yes rude and a shame she doesn't have the manners to say thanks anyway.

Predictive text is funny

Thing is, she doesnt HAVE to see them this weekend, its a plan that can be changed. She's lucky to have you to ask, but damn rude to not even bothering replying.

Rude especially if she has time to reply to your H about seperate subjects. She ought to acknowledge your response.
