Im due to go back to work soon, not sure yet if full or part time.
I have I down for the nursery attached to the school, but also a local pre school. the prob with this is the sessions they do are 3 hours a day 5 days a week. Not exactly work friendly. If she goes to normal nursery, and does say 2 full days, can i use the funding for that also?
Those of you who work with 3 year olds, where does your child go? My mum used to look after her when i worked before, but doesnt drive so wouldnt be able to do nursery pick ups.

Yes you can use your free hours towards fuller days, you just pay the difference which is pro rata over the year. Louie (4) goes to nursery 3 full days a week and H has him 2 days. With our free hours we pay about £380 a month on childcare.

We were only allowed to use up to 6 hours a day at C's nursery, although I think some nurseries do allow you to use the full 15 hours over 2 days. He used to do 2 full days, but when the funding kicked in we increased it to 2.5 days to use all the funding - although we still had to pay the extra few hours on the half day since they didn't take them for just the funded session, it had to be a full day (10 hours) or half day (5 hours), but still cheaper than without the funding. Also, the free hours are only for the term time weeks - similar to Belle's they pro-rated it over the term so you didn't get huge bills in the holidays.
