Anyone here use candles at home? I've got some party lite candles but find some dont give off much scent. Which are your favourite for giving off the best scent. It's mainly for using in the kitchen to get rid of cooking smells

I really like Yankee candles, especially the ones in the glass jars. I find that they scent the room out quickly and burn well, i.e. rather than burn straight through the middle so you're left with loads of wax around the jar, they seem to burn evenly so that there's not much wastage, IYSWIM? They're not cheap but worth every penny in my opinion.

I'm thinking of getting on the Yankee bandwagon - our kitchen and living room are connected so cooking smells can be as issue sometimes - do they really work to mask / get rid?

I think they work Rod. Ours is all open plan so I use them all the time.

I LOVE my yankee candles. Yes they're expensive, but they last ages. I've just got my Christmas one down from the loft with my Christmas decs, I think it's on it's 3rd Christmas and it gets burnt most nights the decorations are up.
I also have lots of little tealights on at night too, in fact we never use the proper lights in the winter, it's all candles, little fairy lights and Christmas tree lights.

Rod, try the yankee candle website, they've had some good offers lately. I got two of the large jars which are usually £19.99 each, and I paid £25 for two and that included delivery.

I know, I was so pleased with them. I got one for my secret santa, and the other as a little treat for me as they were so cheap.

I love Yankee candles but they are a bit on the expensive side. I picked up some large glass jar candles from Homebase this week for £2.99 each for a 15oz candle and they smell pretty good for the price. Currently burning the Spiced Apple and Cinnamon one, smells lovely and Christmassy :)
