A variety of tinned foods that can be eaten if we are too knackered/ill to go out for food. A tonne of fruit because mine eat that much. Jam, porridge, cocopops(whatever the favourite special cereal is of the time) soya yoghurts, soya milk, sweets, crisps - I think that covers it!

Last time we went I made a lasagne and had it the night we arrived, we take bread, bacon/sausage, cereal, coffee, sweetener, milk, packed lunch stuff (or easy stuff for kids lunches) booze, sweets, crisps, cuppa soups, I take stuff for tea too as I find the 'restaurants' on the caravan site mega mega busy and a bit sh1t (although we have only been twice) last time we are out at a pizza place which wasnu e but obviously couldn't have that for 5 nights so we usually take bits for tea with us
Remember washing up stuff/kitchen roll/loo roll too

We usually go when the weather is nicer so we tend to have a BBQ on the Saturday or Sunday.
Bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, bread, marg, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, milk, teabags, sugar.
Bread, rolls, sandwich stuff, crisps, yoghurts, pot noodles.
We usually take something homemade for one of the nights, usually either chilli, microwave rice, garlic bread or curry, rice, naans or pizza and make enough so we could have some another night after we've been and have the munchies. We don't eat out every night as its expensive and usually crap and we don't want burger/fish and chips for 3 or 4 nights.
Mini pies, pasties, cakes for the kids, crisps and dips, cheese and crackers, Dairlylea dunkers, sweets, chocolate, cans of pop, too many boxes of Bud (of course).

Sw we take those disposable BBQ too

Actually, according to the weather this weekend you could probably have a bbq.
Where is it you are going Belle?

There is no way my H will cook and I certainly won't do it. We'll have breakfast and snacks but no cooking for sure. We venture off site, only ever there for the disco for the kids or pool if it's raining.
We're going Isle of Wight SW. Forecast is 10degrees cloudy.

Definitely not BBQ weather then. I don't cook while I'm there, I'll make a chilli or whatever then put it in the fridge when we get there so its just a case of heating it up. I say that I mean, my mam heats it up, cooks the rice and garlic bread etc and she makes all the breakfasts.
10/04/2013 at 14:15
But that is cooking, he'd rather pay for a meal than have to faff about with the oven - is there even ovens there?
10/04/2013 at 14:23
We always eat out, lunch and dinners. Breakfast is had in the van early.
We normally go to a supermarket when we get there and do about £50 in kids stuff, yoghurts, fruit buttons, grapes, fruit bars, crisps and nice drinks. It's only really Taylor that snacks so we make sure he's for stuff he likes.
I'm sure you've got it all covered

If you go off site that's better, we will go out for the day but are usually back for tea time, then head to the disco and by that point both of us fancy a drink so rather than one of us not drinking we eat in the van, we only take simple stuff with us that you just need to heat iyswim. We went to Scarborough and there was a Chinese that delivered ask seen them at the neighbours van!!!
10/04/2013 at 14:42
Yeah Belle there should be an oven in the Van, also like cp says there is usually a pizza delivery or a Chinese delivery on the bigger sites.
10/04/2013 at 14:49
I send H out for Chinese, then tend to fall asleep whilst I'm waiting for it in my drunken stupor!

We had a gorgeous thai takeaway delivered to our caravan last night after the kids had gone to bed and also pizza delivery!
