I have changed my choices for Z's Primary school. Has anyone else done this? Were you successful?
I have change my mind as I have found a better school that I didn't realise covered where we live and Z's 2 best friends from preschool will be going there as well. The school I picked is nice with good grades and nice teachers, but the the other one is SOOOOOO much better :(
H isn't interested and doesn't seem bothered (which annoys me) but I don't know what to do now. I wish I had found this out in September. Silly Cow!!!

You'll have to look at how your Local Authority deals with things like this. In our area if there was a place at the other school available then you would have to apply to transfer. If you weren't allocated a place at a school you put on your list then you can try appealing but you're in a different situation in that you haven't applied to the school.
Depends where you live of course. Here its a county-wide process rather than applying to individual schools.

As applications have gone in (I assume that's the same across the country?) and are being processed, then I think you would have to accept the offered place and then go on the waiting list for the school you want, there is often a lot of movement in waiting lists before September. Obviously if the school you want isn't full after allocations, then you could get a place straight away. Best bet is to ring the county admissions department for more advice. If you can't get a place at the school you want straight away, it is definitely worth accepting the offer you get so at least you have a place for now.
Hope you get it sorted x

I did and yes I was successful but only because there was spaces at the school I wanted. Good luck x

Round here, we can reapply by another deadline date, something like the 4th may. I asked for when we was moving to see if I could change my application but you have to wait and see what your offered, if you want to apply for somewhere else then I think your entitled to do so once all the places have been allocated.

I changed after we got the forms through to say what school he'd got. Luckily there was spaces so we were able to switch.

Panic over. I went to look at the school this morning and I don't like it as much as the the one I selected first of all.
Thank you for all the comments. x
