Have I missed a report?

No belle I've not done one. I can do though. It was lovely. Still not sure it was worth the money, however the kids loved it, so that was the main thing.
We got there about 10.30am, we're only a short drive away, checked in, and our appointment to meet Santa was at 11.30am. There wasn't really a queue to see Santa, as everyone had specific times, so we turned up, and the elves escorted us into his little room. E was amazed, S a bit unsure, we were with them for about 10 minutes, and we got a family pic with Santa (which was an extra £10, you'd think that it was perhaps included at £205 for the night, but hey-ho)
After meeting Santa we went into the park, there were a few of the children's rides open, queues were minimal we spent 4 or 5 hours in there, we saw the reindeer, we went into Ice Age 4D cinema, and E met Sid the sloth.
About 4pm we went to our room (you couldn't get in them until after 3pm) E had a nap, H and I freshened up, and then we went to see a magic show. There were lots of other little shows and things on, but tbh, there wasn't really time to see everything, if you were in the park, which you needed to do to get your moneys worth, then you missed out on the puppet shows etc as they were on in the hotels. We'd got a meal booked in the hotel restaurant for 6.45pm, so we arrived, were seated and starters were brought to us, main meal was a carvery and there was a huge selection of deserts. Everything was really nice and enjoyable.
Then there was kids entertainment on in the bar in the evening afterwards, E was dancing and S was just chilling in his pushchair, he was shattered.
Yesterday we were up bright and early for breakfast, then you had to be out of your room for 10am, so we loaded the car and went back to make us of Splash landings, tbh, we lasted less than two hours, the water was so cold, S was dithering and his lips were blue. So we stuck it out until just after 12 and then left.
The kids had a great fun, H and I did too, however I think it was vastly overpriced for what you got. But it's Christmas, a time for treats etc. I wouldn't do it again. Next year I think we're going to do DLP instead.

A couple of pics we took
I'm glad you enjoyed it but it's a shame - did it feel very Christmassy or in reality it's just you get to meet Santa whilst staying at the resort?
I bet DLP is way more magical.
o i was looking for a report, sounds great that the kids enjoyed it but yes a bit pricey. im going to do that polar express next year. looked into it this year but id want to stay over.

Basically, you meet santa whilst staying in the resort, I didn't feel overly Christmassy. It was nice, we've enjoyed it, but like I said, for the money we paid, we could have done a couple of nights at DLP. We've done DLP at Christmas, it is definitely more magical.
CP - what's the polar express?
Whenever I've priced up DLP it comes in at thousands.

Depends when you want to go. If you're stuck to school holidays it is quite expensive. When I've been looking at prices for next year we can get 4 nights/5days included passes at the Santa Fe for just over £400. Then there is just flights to add which come in about £100 each.

If we are taking L we won't have to stick to holidays yet it's still so expensive.

I suppose. We just don't go overboard with Christmas presents at the moment, and instead will try and doing something fun too so that they can build some memories. When they're wanting DSs and games consoles etc, then christmas outings will have to get cheaper.

Thanks for sharing the report. We're going between xmas and new year (when it's cheaper lol). Looking forward to it as I'm sure the kids will enjoy it.

Does sound a lot for what you get, but at least the kids enjoyed it. That's what it is all about really, isn't it??
I had to keep telling my Mum that about Lapland... haha

AK - that's all the mattered really. The kids loved it, and we got some rare family time.
I'd love to take them to Lapland, but I don't fancy the cold!!
