It's coming upto our 10th wedding anniversary. Mil, god bless her, has offered to have all three monkeys for a few days.
We thought we'd jet off to Rome or even a costa for a couple of nights, but flight times don't seem to be working in our favour, we'd end up spending little more than a day anywhere with a two night break.
So, talk to me about amazing places in the uk, middle of no-where or city breaks all considered.
Tell me about Paris, especially via euro star

Can't beat loch lomond for me, check Cameron House for something special. London, I've got my eye on le gavroche mainly because I have a massive crush on Michel Roux Jr!

I'd probably say London. Or Bath is meant to be lovely. I've been to Paris a few times but not in the last 5 years. It would be the top of my list to go if it was a choice of there or UK.

H has suggested London, but I just don't feel excited about it. Is that really spoilt? I used to work there a bit, so in a way it doesn't feel exciting. Which is stupid, because we have three small children and many a time I'd kill for a night in the local travel lodge!

My sister always goes to a spa in the Cotswolds and raves about it. It does look lovely when I've looked at hotels there.
I've always wanted to go to the crazy bear in Oxford too but it is quite pricey.

Weekender I think loch lomund would be too far to drive. Will check out your London tip though, thank you.
Lauren do you know the name of your sisters spa? I'm just looking at Oxford!

Hi! It's our tenth wedding anniversary soon too. We have booked two nights at the hotel and spa at lake vyrnwy, it looks amazing. We're having a lake view room, with chilled champagne on arrival, two nights with five course dinner, and breakfast. We're going to hire bikes and cycle round the lake, then go back and relax in the spa. I can't wait till May, I want to go now! (We also have three kids going to stay with mil, mils can be fab sometimes!)

Lauren crazy bear looks very cool!
Pingu that's stunning. When in may are you going? Our anniv is 24th, but we're looking at the weekend before as that's not a bank holiday.

We're going 30th to the 1st June and our anniversary is 31 may. It's half term week.
I feel really nervous leaving the kids but hopefully I'll enjoy it once we get there, be quite hard not to I guess!
Let us know what you decide on x
