H and I went on a chocolate making course today. It was a christmas present that we have only just got round to doing. It was amazing. The chocolate guy told us all about chocolate, where it from, how it's made and so on. Then he got us to try different chocolates from around the world. Then we had a go ourselves. We made milk chocolate truffles. Then we made some chocolates with soft centres which we were able to flavour. I did ginger and H did orange and cinnamon. Then we were given a hot chocolate and some of his chocolates to try whilst ours hardened off. It was great! If anyone is in the Leicestershire/derbyshire/notts area I would definately reccomend it.

Oh wow, sounds fantastic - I'd love that! It's also very near me so I'd be interested in the details.

Ooo this sounds fabulous.
We have something local thats similar but mostly aimed at children but its £25 per head for 2 hours which I find steep for kids!

we went to a chocolate making class once and made a chocolate handbag. Poor H but he wasn't the only guy in the class lol - it was great fun

www.chocolate-alchemy.co.uk is the website. It was £70 for two, but I noticed they are doing £100 for four on the website. We took home about 25 chocolates each. It was so interesting to try different chocolates, you could really taste the difference depending on where the cocoa beans had grown. They do hen parties & group talk type things too. The guy was so passionate about chocolate, where it comes from, how it's made, and every bit if the cocoa bean is used so environmentally it's really good too. I never want to eat cheap chocolate again.

Will bookmark that site.
Was expecting it to cost more than that TBH.
