How are you doing yours?
When in the day are you doing it?
I don't know when to do ours. I wanted to do it after the kids had been in the bath but they have new pj's to put on which are in the hamper. I don't really want to do it before they go in the bath cos I want them to be excited and want to look at and eat the stuff in it

We are having ours sit on the doorstep for when we get back from santas grotto , so will come in and put our jammies and DVD on

Ours is going to be on the table by the TV when we get home from festive drinks at the pub about 5pm

Right, I suppose I could get them in the bath in the afternoon so they are done. Will have to think about when and how to give it to them. Easy if we are going out in the afternoon, I'll just leave it in the sitting room for when we get in. Decisions decisions ha ha.

Not exactly doing a hamper, just a couple of little presents (PJs, Christmas Mr Men books, including night before Christmas, erm, I'm sure there's something else) that he'll get when I get him home in the afternoon after I've finished work in place of his advent calendar gift.

Kat, I was thinking what's all the fuss about but then I started getting carried away with it and am now dead excited about it ha ha. I got a box from one of the blokes at work yesterday and I was telling him about the hamper and he was saying what a good idea it was. I've seen him againt his morning and he said he was thinking about it last night and what a lovely idea it was and it made him sad that he hadn't done something like that for his kids. Everyone seems to love the idea.

Sw loads from my work are doing it too and even those working are contributing to a hamper at work (in addition to the buffet!) they are giving the sister in charge £5 each and she's going to m&s for loads of snacky things and they are having Xmas cd and Christmas hair bobbles in it they got a big box yesterday and the sister was taking it home to decorate. I think it was ddl on dw who started the craze!

Its a great idea. I've got our box to decorate on Sunday while the kids are out.

See, now, I've got carried away with the idea too. So much so that I've spent the morning making gingerbread men so that I can put these in. Just got to work out where I'm going to hide them for the next few days. And hoping I can decorate them this afternoon before the school run at 3pm.
We're going out for an early dinner (4.30ish) on Christmas eve with friends. I'm planning to do it when we get back from that. I'm going to use a posh bag that I got a dress in the other month to put everything in.

I've done one too after reading all about it on here! I have a massive gift bag filled with pjs wrapped up for everyone, the snowman and the father Christmas DVD, popcorn, chocolate bars, marshmallows, Xmas mugs, chocolate santas, rose wine for adults, pink sparkly drink for girls, a few baby's first Xmas bits for C. I can't wait!!!! I'm going to go out the back and round to the front, leave it on the doormat and ring the door belI. It will take the kids just enough time to get to the door and I will safely be back in the kitchen without them suspecting it was me!

I think its the simplest ideas that are the best. I cant wait. We will have baths around 5pm and then into our new pjs then. I just need to get snacks!
