Does anyone have one, and what are your thoughts?
I ordered one last night for delivery tomorrow, and I'm desperately hoping it will help with our laundry drying and condensation problems. Autumn and winter are just miserable in our house, we don't have a functional heating system and our tumble dryer has recently given up. We bought a couple of heated airers last weekend to try to get the washing dry but they were a waste of time for anything bigger than socks.

I haven't had one but I work in an industry where they are used. Dehumidifiers will only suck moisture out of the air/walls/floor etc. They won't be any good for drying clothing. I honestly don't like them. Sorry to sound negative. For condensation, ventilation is the key.
Would it be worth nipping to a laundrette to dry the clothes?

I have a small one originally bought to reduce condensation on the exterior wall from showers etc. I have not had the problem since (fingers crossed)!
Now I stick it on when I have washing drying so that the moisture from the clothes drying isn't in the house affecting wallpaper etc. I'm not sure it makes the clothes dry quicker but it is amazing how much water it collects.

WFMS but it will suck the moisture out of the air as the clothes dry, so it is worth a shot to see if it helps. You can get heated clothes airers from Lakeland if that's any help.
