It was probably my best Christmas ever! Just the four of us at home on Christmas Day. Opened presents, ate far too much and relaxed. Nobody to entertain, nowhere to rush off to, etc. Perfect! I had lots of my Elemis and Kerestase products, H has booked me in for a hair treatment that I have wanted to try for ages! He had also arranged for me to get a mani and pedi on the 30th and hair and make up done on NYE (really well thought out for him, he's not usually that god ha!), lovely PJs and a new dressing gown, earrings, perfume, chocolates, bracelet and a purse. Boxing Day was spent at our friends parents house and was lots of fun. The kids were wild on sugar and sang karaoke for hours!
NYE was a bit of a strange one. We went to a gala at a golf club. Started brilliantly but then a man on the table next to us keeled over minutes before midnight. Half an hour of CPR was administered but we are pretty sure he didn't make it. It didn't feel right to ring in the new year after that.
QI- Ouch!! Are you better?

QI, that sounds nasty, hope the ABs are doing their job.
We had a nice quiet Christmas, at home on Christmas day with my parents, sister and her boyfriend and then at the ILs on Boxing Day with them, SIL, BIL, niece and nephew. I got some lovely things - baking stuff, Paul Hollywood's Bread book, socks and a fluffy jumper, book, CD and money which I've been spending in Hobbycraft having decided to take up crochet.
NYE we didn't do anything, in fact I was in bed and asleep by 11!

We spent Christmas Day at home just the 4 of us and it was really nice not having to rush about visiting. The boys were very excited too. I received money, beauty vouchers, chocolates, baileys, jewellery. NYE we went out for a meal with the boys around tea time in the city and then headed back home, we did pop in my sisters on the way back. I fell asleep putting the boys to bed so missed the new year, but I wasn't too fussed about it this year

We had a fab Christmas. On Christmas eve I got a little pink line so H and I spent the next few days incredulous and very excited!

Christmas day here was ace. My boys were spoilt rotten, and they really enjoyed it. Seeing their faces, really made the day for me. I was spoilt too. I got perfume, sewing machine, hobbycraft vouchers, HK Vans. lots of HK stuff (naturally), clothes, smellies, and sadly, a onesie...
We had present opening at home, H, C, J and I, until late morning, when we went to my parents.
After gifts were swapped, we sent H and my Dad to the pub, so we could crack on with dinner. My aunt and her fella were there too, which was really nice. My bah humbug H even cracked a smile.
Boxing day, we got H's kids. I have never known two more unemotional, and ungrateful kids in my life. To look at them open their gifts, you'd think they were being forced. H was not impressed.
NYE, I went to a masquerade ball, which was ACE. H stayed in, with his kids (for the third year in a row, his ex has been TOLD that next year, she has them for NYE) I got SO drunk. Never been so drunk in my life, but was still hangover free, hurrah!!!

Wow AK your boys look so excited. And how did you manage to avoid a hangover?
We had a good time. Went to my parents on Christmas Day. My brother's family were there as well. We've hosted the last couple of years so it felt weird not to be stressing about the turkey. All the kids had fun rushing around getting overexcited.
New Years Eve was quiet.

We had a lovely time. F was 5 on 23rd December so the fun started then, then we went to my parents for Christmas itself, home at the weekend then did F's birthday party. NYE at my sil's which is always nice. The children really seemed to enjoy it all this year, L is old enough to 'get it' now I think. We had lots of parties and lots of time with family but, deliberately, lots of that was just playing and chilling at home which was much needed. I got a subscription to Good Food magazine and some wellies, and H and I got contributions to a much needed new tv as ours is nearly 20 years old

What did you get up to Kellfi? I got a Kindle, perfume, money, smellies, pj's, slippers, toiletries - the usual stuff really.
We had a fab time over the holidays. Christmas Day we had a family morning, then visited the PIL for an hour, then went to my mams for the afternoon, my friend had also invited us round to hers so we left my mams about 5pm and went to hers - just for an hour and were there til 4am!!!
We went out with a big group of friends on the 28th to Newcastle for a day/night boozing session which was fab and lasted til 4am!!!
NYE we went to a kids party at the soft play from 6-10pm which sounds like hell but was actually really good, it was £5 per person and that included entry, a kids and adults buffett, kids drinks and a dj who played party games with the kids.
NYD we went out with friends child free.

Was fairly quiet, but quite nice, although I did get a bit upset on NYD when I saw loads of pics of different friends at parties since we hadn't had an invite to anyone's apart from my brothers We went to his for a bit, then had to get C home to bed, and sat watching TV for the rest of the night until midnight.
C was poorly Christmas week, ended up screaming with stomach pains on the Boxing day night so we took him docs on the Friday and found out he'd go tonsillitis, despite not having had a temperature or sore throat! He wasn't too bad on Christmas day, but you could tell he wasn't right, and we still had a lovely time round my parent's with both my brothers, nephew and SIL. Most of the time between Chistmas and NY we didn't do a lot because of him being ill.
And of course, it's ended with an extra new years present good job I didn't drink NYE or Saturday night at a party we went to!
Had some lovely pressies, enough Soap and Glory to set up my own shop my lovely new warm coat, jumper, money, chocs, and other bits and pieces.
