After the kids seeming ill this morning they then perked up and we had okay day. Nobody had a nap though which was a major mistake and we have had the horrible high pitched keening noise even from B - urgh.

We've had a lazy day as got back from holidays last night about 1am so were all knackered. Did washings, supermarket shop then M took herself to bed and had a two hour nap till 6pm which is NOT good, and she is still bright as a button now. But I couldn't wake her and couldnt bring myself to poke at her till she woke up because I knew why she was tired. Not to worry. Then we had a bbq which was lovely since it meant H cooking for a change!
Cupcake, great about your flowers, ours are all looking very sorry for themselves having been neglected in the hot weather for the past week!

Lack of napping & too much napping isn't good!
Our veggie patch has gone bananas recently but our water butt is dry & likely to remain like that for some time to come.
I've had a rather long, sticky day. OH was working this morning (he works the other side of Cambridge) & I didn't fancy leaving with him at 7 this morning to sit in the workshop office so I walked down to the station, caught a train to Cambridge, a bus out to one of the park & ride sites to meet OH then we both got a park & ride bus into the city. By this point I was hot & sticky & knackered but after lunch at Jamie's Italian we filled in our gift list at John Lewis then had free coffee & cake in their cafe.
It was great going round the store scanning stuff in - wonder if we can do that every year? Fingers crossed people buy things from it & don't just be lazy & get gift vouchers instead.
