I'm not even sure I'm finished, but still a friend just had a baby and my god, I'm broody! How is it possible?! I have 2 under 2?!!! baby R isn't even 6 months.....I'm not saying I want another but I just love the experience of giving birth and having a newborn. I'm crazy aren't I?

Well if you're crazy so am I! I have 101 reasons not to have another one, I was adamant all through and after pregnancy that two was enough yet I cant stop thinking about another one or two. For me I think of the future when the children are all grown up, I'd love to have 3 or 4 and then lots of grandchildren but the pregnancy I can't stand and the children as delightful as they are are hard work and we barely get any time to ourselves as husband and wife.

I get like this, and i've got two under 3. E is 2, S is 1. I wouldn't want to be pregnant again, however i'd love to experience those first few days after having a new born again, they were just magical for me, and i'm sad that i'm never going to have that again.
I don't want 3 children, i'm more than done with two, and tbh sometimes i don't think i cope with the two i've got.

Oh yes. We're definitely done with our two, but I still have irrational jealousy of bumps and the whole excitement of having a new baby (totally ignoring the lack of sleep, grim things about pregnancy/labour, cost, practicalities etc of course).
Two new Kleek babies about to be born isn't helping...

You are welcome to cuddles whenever you like!

Thanks Rusty - this will mean you have to entertain the kamikaze climbing toddler though...

I like the thought of being pg again but not the baby iyswim.
I used to be really broody when others were having babies but now I definately don't.

I can hand on heart say I've never been broody. Even when we decided to try for L it wasn't because I was broody.
We're definitely not done (mother nature allowing) and we've a load of babies due soon. Friend currently at 41+0, steps is starts ml today, sil due in three weeks. As is a good friend and my cousin at the end of June... I can't wait for newborn cuddles however the idea of having a bump makes me feel sick. I loved E being tiny but won't ever forget the sleep deprivation, the pulling my hair out while still getting to know her, the feeling when I couldn't bfed. God no I adore now even more. (E is 17 weeks) and seeing an exhauste, fed up, huge lady moaning only just reminds me of all this!

Belle I'm the same I think, number one was a (happy) accident and number 2 was because we wanted another child and a sibling for N but I didn't feel broody and didn't go all gooey around babies.

I only get a broody feeling, when looking at my boys baby pics.
We're done. My recent mc has only reconfirmed this. After my first mc, I NEEDED another baby, didn't get that feeling this time.
I would love to do pregnancy and labour again, I just don't want a baby.

I get broody. Then reality hits me and it soon goes again, it's the tiny newborn stuff I see in the shops. My second boy has put me off now in a big way, bless him x

I already said it to you, but yes it happened recently with a friends newborn. It took me by surprise too.

I was quite broody from when my 2nd one was 6months to 12 months. I think it's a hormonal thing from the pregnancy and birth, I then snapped out of it. My friend was also the same.

Nope - I say I am finished but would still like another and I've got 5, including 4 under 3! In my 20's I wouldn't even hold a baby so don't know what came over me!

I think the reason I got broody when I was "finished" was because I wasn't finished.
I don't get broody now

Heartnurse, you could be onto something ;)
I'm broody at the moment as my youngest is 2.5, which is an how old B was when I was expecting her. I really loved ML and being home with both of them. It would be lovely to have that coming up again. I wouldn't enjoy the pregnancy, labour or sleepless nights again but I would love the newborn cuddles, BF again and getting to know a new person....But I also enjoy my two growing up and doing all sorts that we probably wouldn't do with a baby too.
