I have kept my engagement and wedding cards and also the boys bday cards, I don't keep my own bay cards though. Do you keep cards?

God no. I hate cards.

I don't know why I do? As I'm not bothered about receiving bday cards for me and I never put cards up as they just clutter the place. I especially can't stand Xmas cards they never get put up. I put the boys cards up for a couple of days but then take them down if they haven't pulled them down lol. So no idea why I keep cards??? I think that maybe one day I will want to look back at them.?

and think "ahhh john from number 25 wished me happy birthday on my birthday" I just don't get cards. "Happy birthday love from....." same old same old. People are lucky if they get one from me.

Lol that made me chuckle. Maybe it's time for a clear out

Each to their own and all that yoyo. I just don't see the point in them.

i like the idea of it and usually do for a while, but then they start taking up space(falling out of cupboards) and i end up throwing them.

I've kept engagement, wedding, new baby cards and the kids birthday cards. They all get glued into scrapbooks. I think I've got my 18th and 21st cards somewhere too. And I keep most of the cards the kids give me, esp the ones where A has written her own name etc for the 1st time. I don't keep my own bday cards tho and Christmas cards get recycled!

Ex H has written the girls birthday cards since they were little and he always wrote nice messages so I kept those. But I don't keep generally, I like cards but they are such a waste, I feel like I'm chucking money straight in the bin.

I've got our wedding cards, E and S's cards from when they were born and their first birthday cards.

I've kept wedding cards I think. And cards given to us when we had our daughter. Mostly, though, they are used up for crafty activities or binned. Christmas cards are saved and used as gift tags the following year - if suitable - as saves money.
CP - if I didn't throw away the crafty stuff my daughter makes/brings home from school I would be overrun with the things by now. She just loves her craft stuff and there's not enough room in the house. This weekend she made a robot from a couple of old boxes, shampoo bottles and toilet rolls. Good creative stuff but can't wait to cull it I've kept a few for sentimental reasons but everything else gradually makes its way out of the house. (Normally when she's not looking but often she is happy to help chuck stuff out).

I have kept cards from my 21st Birthday, All Mothers days, and some Christmas cards off my boys.
I have all the cards I got when my boys were born, and all of their birthday and Christmas cards off family. They are all cut up, and put in scrap books.
