Apart from the obvious reasons I dont think I have had a proper nights sleep in years!
My h snores loudly and a lot, he rolls over too far on my side so about 5 times in the night I have to get him to move over as im hanging out and he tries to cuddle up in his sleep but i get too hot and uncomfortable with 15 stone of man squashing me!
my granny and grandpa had separate beds and so does my mum amd dad, Im think I'm starting to turn into them

Me and H spend so much time apart that we have made a pact not to sleep seperately when he is here.. Broken only when husband is so drunk that I can't drag his 17stone ass up to bed.
That said, there are times when I desperately look forward to the nights H is away for the same snoring issue! I never thought that the biggest factor in my post baby tiredness would be being kept awake by my H, as previously I wore earplugs and now obviously can't!
Ordinarily i love sharing the bed but atm i toss and turn so much and have so many pillows for my spd that space is running out......!

I sleep a lot better on my own but wouldn't really want to sleep on my own every night.

Mossy - that's it exactly. I love the non snoring, sweaty man free zone I have every night now but sometimes I do reach out in my sleep to touch him and it wakes me up when there's no one there. Personally I think it's important to sleep together but as you say, amethyst, different strokes for different folks.

O I love when h isn't here or I'm on nights and I'm in bed during the day! My h dies really deep breathing which I feel is worse than snoring! Then all the farts! He randomly gets nosebleeds too, so I LOVE having the bed to myself. My friend and her h have separate rooms he snores so badly! Its not stopped them having 4 children thoygh lol

My H sleeps on the sofa. I can't sleep if H is in bed with me.

I can't sleep next to H at the mo, his snoring is too loud. But he has had his tonsils out so hopefully when they're healed it will be better. I hate sharing the bed anyway!

I couldn't have separate beds I don't think, but I am looking forward to him going away for a week in April!x

I like sharing the bed for the cuddles, closeness and for him to keep me warm but I do like the 2 nights a week when he is nightshift and I have the bed to myself.

I love sleeping next to my H unless he has been drinking.

I hate sharing the bed. He snores, breathes irritatingly, takes up too much space and moves the covers around too much. Quite often we will go to bed together and then I will go up to the spare room once he has gone to sleep. I wouldn't like to officially have seperate beds but I would hate to not have anywhere to escape to. Someone it isn't so bad now we only have to sleep together 2 nights a week as he works away the rest of the time.

I do, I find it a comfort to have MrDD next to me and I miss him when he's not there, or if I have to go away with work. Sounds like I'm lucky not to have a snorer or deep breather!

I don't mind H, I'm a heavy sleeper so I don't have to put up with his snoring though he's a bloody nuisance on the rare occasion when he gets drunk, then he's in the spare room.

I love sleeping next to him until he starts to snore!! Thank goodness for the spare room.

Ha I'm the same as most of the others, I don't mind it till he starts snoring! To be fair, I like him being there if I wake up cold, and he's pretty much given up drinking now so the snoring is much less now

I don't mind sharing, since we upgraded to a superking, means I get more space to myself and we invested in a very good mattress so don't feel each other moving around, best money we have ever spent - now to get the kids to sleep through.

I love sharing the bed, H on the other hand feels like I chase him to the edge of the bed. apparently i'm far to warm for cuddles all night :(

I love sharing the bed with H most of the time. It's nice just to know that he's there, and that if i have a bad dream or something he's there just to give me a cuddle.
However, when he's on an early shift at the weekend i love doing the star fish in bed for a couple of hours once he's got up.

I get too many nights on my own so I just love it when he is in bed. I sleep much better with him here even in pregnancy. That said if I'm having a day time nap it has to be alone and I don't like long lies with him either! If we both wake up at the same time I'm practically kicking him out so I can go back to sleep.
