I used to but I quit end Dec last year. Best thing I ever did. I will say this, people who have never smoked moan about people who do not being able to kick the "habit" it is not a habit, picking your nose is a habit, smoking is a drug addiction and should be treated as such. That's how I quit, be treating it like an addiction. No one would ask an alcoholic to just stop without support or a plan.
I also don't agree with long term nicotine replacement or e cigs as a long term thing. Its just delaying the inevitable. You need to go through the nicotine withdrawal at some point and it is not nice. It does however only last about 3 days. After that it's will power and support to not take it up again.

Nope and never tried. My mum, dad and both brothers smoke. I hate it.

Nope. My sister smokes and has done since she was 13...she's 31 next month. I saw her trying to hide it from my parents (which she still does) and the greif it caused and I couldn't be bothered. None of my friends were smokers though so I never had any kind of peer pressure to start.

I hate it. Never tried it and tried to avoid people who did when I was at school and now too. I would never go out with someone who smoked - its a total deal breaker for me. I hate the smell on clothes and I love the fact you can no longer smoke in pubs etc.

I have never smoked. I hate the stink on the smokers at work who come in after their break. I always hold my breath when walking past. Then I wonder why they bother with deodorant, toothpaste etc as the stink of fags so clearly overpowers everything else

Yes I used to be a smoker, but haven't smoked since I found out I was pregnant with my little boy who is now 2 years old. I do however have a couple of cigs if I am drunk, but given that I have hardly been out since he was born that's not very often.

Gosh I'm surprised how many of you never have.(in a good way)
I was quite a heavy smoker which does surprise people when they find out. I started at 18 and stopped during pg (always found an excuse to start agin) then finally gave up 5.5 years ago and cannot stand them ,the smell makes me sick.
Ironically I have been diagnosed with asthma since stopping and have frequent chest problems. I'm just relieved I don't do it anymore.
