Ok so in the interest of posting something I have a random question here. On my left side of my ribs I sometimes feel like I get be sort of stuck under the other, it's uncomfortable and makes me feel a bit breathless but usually put some pressure on it with my hand and wiggle a bit and it comes unstuck. This has happened since I was pregnant, which is probably because of when they move about a bit. More recently this has happened more often and I did it yesterday whilst bending down. Today it feels really bruised. There's nothing on the outside I can see and if I feel my ribs it feels normal just tender. I can feel it almost all of the time and when I move about. I hate going to the dr unless vital because it takes an age to get an appointment and by then it's usually fixed!

Pip that just made me gag. I hate anything ilke that and I now have visions of ribs popping & clicking
I would have said no to the doctor if it was just once, but seen as you can now feel it all the time and it feels bruised I think you should get checked out. They may say it's nothing x
If its been happening since you were pg then I would make an appt, it may be nothing but best to get it checked out. Made me feel a bit sick when you talk about wiggling it around lol.

Maybe I'll see how long the next appointment is!
I'd probably go too, if it's a recurring thing then there's a chance that it'll only get worse.

Thanks ladies, you confirmed what I thought and wanted to pretend I didn't need to.

I'd have it looked at.

I get this but as part of my condition - I jsut usually breathe in really deeply (which hurts) and it causes the rib to pop back into place. Its far more likely to happen in pregnancy for msot women but if it is still happening you may stretched the ligament during pregnancy so it is able to do it more often. Like if you dislocate your shoulder once it is more easy to do it again in the future or sprainign an ankle etc

One of my ribs popped out in pregnancy too. I was seeing a Chiropractor for SPD anyway, who helped put it back and it's been fine since.
