the more you have the less you want them to grow up?

With my first i was desperate for him to do all the milestones etc, but this time id be happy if Evan stayed small for ever, i so dont want him to grow up quick, when i read in other forums about ladies weaning early etc i just think this time goes so quick theres plenty of time for that in the future Maybe its just me or maybe im getting old

hi. no it is so true. my eldest has just turned 10 and my youngest is 2. i so don't want my little boy to grow up. i want him to stay baby forever, out of my 5 he has stayed the baby the longest. although he is only 2 still but the thought of him starting nursery next year really scares me. i want no 6. i have always had a baby and toddler at home with me. my little girl starts school this september, she turns 4 on august 31st. thats really gonna hurt me when she starts school. so i know exactly how you feel.
when i had my 1st i was told to love and take notice of all they do as they grow so quickly, i didn't really think that could happen, but sure enough his first year flew. i think we sometimes take them for granted but not intentionally. thinking we can have more. i sometimes wish that i could wind back time and have my first 2 again, as there were only 18 months between them. to know what i know now. we think we have all the time in the world but we don't. just want mine to all stop growing for a while and be babies again.xx xx

That is soooo true, my eldest is 13 and I remember thinking it had taken forever for him to reach his first birthday, whereas my youngest was 2 in April and it feels like only yesterday he was born. With my eldest I was desperate for him to sit/crawl/walk but with Isaac I was even sad when he stopped waking for his nightime feed, it meant my baby was growing up and I really miss having a baby

 Glad i am in good company then! Theres only 14months between my first two so their babyhood was one big blur, i was young and knackered though and so wanted them to get bigger as i thought it would get easier, how wrong was i eh  Ive been thinking about it alot, my eldest has just finished his first yr at school (hes 5) and my middle one starts in jan (hes 4) and it just makes me want to cry, there so big now and needing mummy less and less, not fair! Evan is growing so quick time is speeding by...in a way it wouldnt be so bad if im not pg now as i can start ttc again when hes one, i know my broodyness will be awful then  Ru both having anymore? Weve said the next is the last...but i really cant imagine only being pregnant one more time! xxx

Yep, i know how you feel, wish i could turn back time, not to do anything differently but to go back and enjoy it again.

Regards having your last ever baby its so so so hard. I know this is my last, we dont have the space, money, time and my body cant do another pg but i know i will be sad forever that i will never experience it all again. hi. i would love no 6. but hubby not so keen. i might beable to work on him though, just makes me so sad that i know that i might not ever have the feeling of a baby in my tummy again and not to breastfeed again,
i always thought that having my 5th, archie would be it, but i now feel broody again. so don't know what to think. when will i ever stop though thats then question?i definately think no 6 would be it...

I agree 100 percent hun!! I was desperate for Molly to do everything!! With Charlie she grew up too fast so I'm keeping Livs a baby for as long as I can luckily she has reached all the milestones slower than the other two did and shes not walking yet. I'm sure when she starts walking I'll be a quivering mess, the broodyness with probably increase 10 fold!!! x x x x

Yes I used to be "desperate for mine to grow and do things" But actually after DD1 was born I stopped wishing and love every minute of the "babyhood" lol!
This little bean will def be my last and while that thought scares the hell out of me I actually am looking forward to "growing" with my children, DS being my eldest it feels like I am learning about kids everyday especially the older he gets, I havent really got a clue what to expect come the "teens" so watch this space girls I could change my mind yet again about looking forward to watching them grow up lol!!

I am the same i wanted Ellie to do everything really fast and then it was like omg where has the time gone she's nearly 7 and growing into a lovely little lady.

Leo just did everything so fast by himself he was walking at 10 months and wasnt like a baby much but i feel he had to as i was expecting James most of the time with Leo as theres only 10 months and 2 days between them so i have wanted to keep James the baby for as long as possible and i thought he was so little but when SIL brought round Alfie when he was 3 days old James looked so big and i realised he is growing up soooo fast boo as i know he is my last.
