L has his on Weds for his grommet op, do you know what it entails and how long you usually get an op day through after it?

The pre op for me was a week before, then another one the morning of the op. Usual height, weight, BP, bloods.
No ideas on kiddies though hon x

My pre-op was a week before too. Not sure if same for children but I'd assume so. I got my op date first and my pre-op was scheduled around that

Luke had a pre op at out patients. it was lots of form filling. bring his red book. height, weight and a general examination listening to his chest etc. Lots of hanging about. They also had time to speak to a play specialist about having an op, but we declined it as it wasn't his first procedure.

R had her tonsils and adenoids removed. Her pre-op was height, weight, blood pressure, took temp and listened to her chest. The nurse just asked me a few questions about her and our medical history. I think that was it. We already had her date through before we went for pre-op.

Fi I'd check if you have missed a letter from them with the op date as the pre ops do seem to be booked around the op date. They aren't going to wait 4 weeks between the two as things will change in that time.

We went for the pre-op a week before the op and had the dates all agreed in writing.
Same, just health checks, possibly mrsa swabs done and have a look round the ward etc.

Nope, I got a letter saying that he was on the list. When I called this morning, they said that it would be done pretty soon, but I would find out more on Weds.
