I'm getting a puppy in a couple of weeks and I'm tres excited But I've come to realise it's like getting a newborn all over again and I've no idea what I am doing...
I'm avidly reading manuals, have vet booked for jabs and microchipping, insurance sorted, a long list of puppy stuff purchased, is there anything else I need to know or do?

Puppies are worse than babies.

It's a little girl collie x spaniel, not sure on name yet. C wants to call it Dave after Dave the minion. Ha!
I imagine it's going to be super hard work but am in for the long haul. I believe dog training classes are more for training the owners than the dogs, but there are plenty local to me if needed.

I'd definatley go to training. It'll be for both of you and can help prevent any problems that can be very easily sorted out early on. It's also very important to socialise it in a 'controlled' environment. You don't need a long list of stuff for it. What have you bought?
