We've pulled out of our move completely
we had long discussions about it all and it was becoming stressful, we didn't have enough money for what we wanted, Hs company wouldn't transfer him over to Essex.
so we have decided to do some home improvements here and try and space save. We are toning to look at moving once H has passed the knowledge and we have the choice of living anywhere And he Will be on better money too. It feels like the right thing for us to do. I was a bit gutted but a couple of years isn't really a long time.

Disappointing but sounds like the best thing for you - for now. Freshening up the house and doing some improvements will make life more comfortable and your house more attractive for selling in the long run, so all good. I know you really wanted to move though so also have a

Thanks ladies, I was disheartened tbh and I felt really bad on our buyers but it just didn't seem to be the right thing this time. Now we have made the decision to cancel everything it actually feels like a weight off our shoulders so I think we have done the right thing x

Staying put isn't all that bad. Spend some time on your house, and it'll feel like a new home anyway.

Ah don't feel bad lovely, they were investment buyers anyway so used to stuff like this happening. Now enjoy some time doing up your gaff and honestly the time will fly by!

Thanks girls, yes that's what we are going to do, spend some time and put some energy back into here. We feel like we had neglected it anyway because of thinking we were going. So we have a windows man coming round today for whole set of new ones and new door (we do have PVC ones but need redoing) maybe a built porch thingy, a new sofa we bought yesterday. I'm starting to love it again already :)

That's great Lauren. When we were let down by our buyers towards the end of last year we decided to stay put. We were gutted initially, but we're now having some work done on the garden, then when we're done with that we want to get our bedroom done as this was the one room we didn't really do when we moved in. I love being where i am now, and the house we were going to buy is all forgotten about.

I love our house and area C it's just that it IS too small but hopefully with a few arrangements it can feel more comfortable for us all for a while longer. I do love decorating so its not all bad. Especially with the summer coming we are out a lot more, the winter is just depressing in itself really. Glad you are happy with where you are too

Is it really too small? we thought ours was, but actually with a good clearout of stuff we didn't need we found that actually there was more space than we thought. We thought our 3rd bedroom was too small for S. But it's got a bed in, a wardrobe and a set of drawers. What else does it actually need in there, as he gets older, his toys will take up less room.

It is yeah but we always knew it wasn't a family home its more a couple house. It's a house with the living room that has the entrance to the kitchen, garden and stairs in it! Compact we say but it does the job. There is only two bedrooms and the second one is really quite small, so the boys share but when they get older it would be bunk beds. We throw loads out all the time because we don't like clutter so it feels spacious but we don't have much furniture IYSWIM? I don't think it's on the Internet anymore otherwise I'd have shown you the pics

I'm sure you'll be fine for a bit longer, making improvements will make you see it in a new light . Glad you're less stressed x
