I've just done 6w 6p, A is sleeping so I thought I'd have a nice long shower, wash my hair etc. Forgot that they've turned the water off in the building so I can't even get a glass of water! It will be turned back on just before I have to leave for school, literally 20 minutes before. After school I have to take N to our hairdressers for a haircut so she'll see my delightful greasy hair And wonder where it all went wrong. I've got just enough water in the kettle for A's next feed an possi my another one but it's already been boiled so I can't boil it again and I don't know if it will be hot enough to mix properly

AND I've got a load of washing on and it's flashing red because it can't continue gah! Got builders all round the building putting scaffolding up to start doing work which will continue for the next five MoNTHS!

I would be freaking out if I couldn't wash my hair!
If you have 20 minutes is that not enough time to just wash your hair and dry it off quickly?
5 months is ridiculous! What are they doing?

My hair is really thick and takes ages to dry, it's a possibility though. I dont know exactly what they're doing, something like cleaning the building facades, replacing windows possibly, I haven't read the letter properly yet. They said they'd start on the 12th but I came home yesterday after finally getting A to sleep and there was some almighty drilling and banging ringing through the whole apartment. Cue A waking up and then at my balcony and kitchen window are the builders, bye bye privacy! I think I'm going to complain to the company that owns this building, what the hell can I do with all that noise and a young baby who needs sleep?? And I've just seen they are replacing someone's bathroom which is why they need to switch the water off for the entire morning.

Why dont you ask the hairdresser to wash it for you?

I don't really want to do that Lauren as I will have to have control of both children too, it's N getting his hair cut not me (another challenge for the day as he's going to flip his lid).

Can't you use a friend or family house?

Friend (yep singular) is at work all day and no family. They put the water back on at 11 luckily!
