I'm filling in an update form for Luke's pre school and it asks for details of 2 people to contact in an emergency who can pick your child up. Is that additional to me and my husband? because there is no one!
Family live 4 hours away and we don't know anyone well enough to ask them to take care of Luke. when he first came home I put the children's disability team as they were only other people who could do his trachy/vent care, but even though his care needs are less I don't have a good friend that I could ask. I only 'know' people from groups and chatting outside the school gates.
Is anyone else in this situation. It's not a nice feeling.

You and your H is all it needs. It just means if for whatever reason the school couldn't get hold if you then they would try the second number instead.

You and your husband is all that is needed. We do also have my mother down, as both H and I work away so generally only one or other of us is within 500 miles, but it would take my mum a minimum of 2 hrs to get there.

We have local family but the one time the school contacted me to pick iz up because she had had a nasty accident and was in shock I was 2 hours away, H was stuck at work so I had to ask MIL and felt terrible.
