E had her pizza party today. It went pretty well although she was an absolute nightmare! Behaved like a spoilt little madam This photo pretty much sums up how she spent the afternoon-
At least I had fun

Bless her. What started her off? Just overwhelmed? F acted like a spoilt brat at her party last year (5th) it really annoyed me!

I think she was just so excited and wanted to do things that she shouldn't be doing (running in the kitchen, getting up on the stage and stealing the magicians props, etc) It drove us both mad and I felt so annoyed when we had spent so much on making it a special day for her. I know she is only 3 but it felt like she was so ungrateful. We are now reconsidering what to do on her actual birthday as we had thought about taking her to a hotel for a weekend with lots of swimming fun and the kids club... She will be lucky to have a cake at home now
Maybe it's a girl thing...

F is really ungrateful. We don't spoil her and she still just doesn't appreciate anything, it really winds me up. I know how you feel, you've put all that effort in and she didn't appreciate it. Hope her actual birthday goes better!

In a strange way, I'm glad it isn't just E! She is normally really grateful of things- gifts, new clothes, etc but any sort of social event and she turns into a dive. It's getting a little hard to handle. I'm so worried I'm going to lose it with her one day not too far away... I hope F gets better, it's really tough isn't it?! My mum says my eldest sister was very similar but she was a fab teenager and one of the loveliest people I know now! There's hope for us both

They're too little to understand and find things like parties overwhelming sometimes. I can't begin to count the parties I've been to where the host child has been in floods of tears by the end! I hope she has a good time on her birthday and enjoys her cake and presents xx

Oh Pingu it wasn't the end, it was start to finish E is a diva. I feel for the man that marries her She had a great time, loved her cake and I've hidden her presents as think by the time we got home she had had enough *mean mummy*

Great pic, one for her 18th party perhaps (if she's ever allowed another party ever again!!)

I think it is a brilliant photo.
Nothing wrong with being a Diva. (I fear I may not say that if I had a diva daughter)

That is comforting to hear WS! Maybe we expect too much of them! I certainly hope F is an easy teenager as I deserve one after the was she's been since age 2!!

NikNak- ill blow it up for her 18th!!
AK- there's nothing wrong with it when it's someone else's child E is a handful!
Frankie- I agree! We do deserve easy teenagers!!

She looks beautiful but a party isn't a party if the hostess doesnt cry. I have Lucy's tomorrow with 16 children in our garden,I'm looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measures

She is very beautiful even in this photo. I love her outfit too. It's probably a good job I have boys as if I had girls I would be terrible keep buying lots for them

I will probably phrase this badly but I think it is normal for children to eb ungrateful because they believe they are the centre of the universe. I took B and U to the cinema and the firs thing B said when we left was where are we going now, are we goign to see another film are we to the train museum?
And at three, I didn't risk a party as B would ahev been like that as well. Except he is a boy and it is less acceptable for a boy to be a diva
But that is a brilliant photo

I love this pic! As someone else def one the album when turning 18 lol
So far I have managed to avoid parties for R with lots of children, so I am totally failing on this one.
