So my mum is coming to look after my 2 youngest kids at 12 and she's also picking my eldest up from school and looking after all 3 until H finishes work (4:30) just so I can go Christmas shopping by myself!! It may not sound exciting to you but considering I haven't been shopping on my own without any children since my 2nd child was born so well over 2 years ago! I'm just so looking forward to having a leisurely look around the shops without having to rush and without having anyone wanting a drink/food/wee/poo/to come out of the pushchair, no having to find lifts in the shop to get the pushchair in, no getting children in and out of the car at all the different shops etc etc etc. It's only for a few hours but boy do I need this break :-) I used to spend hours just looking around the shops and so miss doing this!! I haven't got tonnes to buy either so won't be too stressed. Joy!

It is exciting. Enjoy yourself.
I had the day off last Friday and went into town alone. It was FABULOUS! Make sure you enjoy a coffee in peace too. I had brunch in Giraffe all by myself. Heaven!

Yey, sounds fab! I've got a morning doing that next Tuesday, I can't wait!
Oh a day without the kids is bliss, although not sure Christmas shopping is December would be my choice. Enjoy none the less!

I know it'll be busy but it doesn't matter so much when you haven't got kids to worry about, like I said I only need a few bits so most of my time can be spent browsing - proper luxury! I will definitely find time for a coffee in peace, can't believe how much I'm looking forward to it lol. Plus it's not a big town where I'm going to so not like trying to shop round London or anything.

I love child free shopping days. I make sure I get at least one a week
