My mams friend is dying, she hasn't got long left. My work loan out equipment for disabled/poorly people. Her friend needed some stuff so I said I would drop them off on my way home which I've done. Her ex h answered the door and came and got the stuff from my car and said that she had asked if I wanted to go in and see her. I said no, she won't want me bothering her but to say hello and if she needed anything else to let me know. I felt bad for not going in, then as I was leaving my mam phoned me, she was going to tell me to pop in and see her as I may not get to see her again. Now I feel totally crap she must think I'm so ignorant and a right cow. Grr why didn't I just say I would pop in for 5 minutes.

Could she speak on the phone? Just wondering even telling her you wish you'd popped in might help you both. Hope you get to see her again

Thanks Beez, mam has spoken to her and said I would of liked to of popped in but thought she might of been tired. I'm going to pop in hopefully over the weekend with my mam so I feel a little bit better. I'll feel better going with mam as I don't really know what to say to a 48yr old woman with a 9yr old who only has a very short amount of time left.

It will be easier with your mum there, conversation will flow better with a few of you. Hope you are ok.

You were being considerate not just walking in on her, you have made plans to see her now. It wasn't done for lack of care, and look at the favour you are doing giving the stuff. I'm sorry for their situation, hugs to you SW x
