Our neighbour is in his 60s and god love him he's really nice (vvv nosey but nice with it, you know the type giving you tips on How to mow your lawn 'properly')etc
anyway a few years ago they gave L a Wendy house that was their grandsons, it was all ripped but I put it in the garden, said thanks etc, last year we got a big orange hippo that's a sand pit and that's all cracked, yesterday he gave L inflatable goal posts, L lives football so we all really thanked them, well h spent ages blowing it up to find that its got a slow puncture , the ball has a big rip in it so can't be blown up.
Its loveky they think if L but Ffs I have enough sh1te of my own never mind having to bin other people's too! I said to h why don't we go and give them our old freezer that broken in the garage!

I've got a friend that does this with her daughters old clothes/shoes, passes them down to my youngest daughter, they've usually been worn by all 3 of her girls, stained and some have holes. Hubby goes nuts that I don't tell her to shove them, he thinks she's got a cheek, most I wouldn't put on my daughter so we end up filling charity bags but some stuff ends up in rag bags or the bucket.
Nowt stranger than folk, I wouldn't dream of handing someone something that was broken/damaged/stained

NikNak our local childrens charity shop (its just one that stocks kids stuff and equipment) takes stained stuff and send it to Africa for the LOs there, I used to chuck my stained stuff but now give it to them. Do any of your charity shops do that?
CP thats just annoying! Maybe say no thanks you haven't the room to store it?

I'd have reached the "thanks but no thanks" stage by now.

I'm into my crafts and arts so I'm always being given 'stuff' most of it I can use, some I bin some I charity shop. But I'm much better at saying no than I used to be. I just say it nicely that I don't have the space or time to use it, no one seems to have taken offence yet! It helps that H hates my hoarding tendencies, so I can use him as an excuse too.

Oh ML I didn't know about that, I'm sure there will be some charity shop nearby that would, I have just taken delivery of a nappy box full of second hand summer stuff from her so will bear that in mind, thanks. Feel bad for binning in past
