Hi everyone. This is my first pregnancy and I am also living in a foreign country so it is all quite scary. My doctor told me I should be about 4 weeks pregnant. I went for a vaginal ultrasound yesterday and he couldn't see the sac. He said it should be 1cm. He said he saw something that was 3mm but it couldnt be that. I have to go back again next week.
After that appointment I have now started bleeding; nothing heavy yet but now Im more worried. I thought not being able to see the sac was because it was too early but then he started talking about viable pregnancies and totally freaked me out.
Is this normal?
Im also supposed to be flying longhaul back to ireland in two weeks for xmas so Im all over the place at the moment.

Bless u, over here they don't even scan before 6 weeks as nothing can be seen. As for the bleeding, it is quite common. I bled for the first 10 weeks. Obviously if it gets heavy or painful then call a gp but until your next scan try and rest up and stay positive xx
