I went on a market research last night and one of the questions was who you always stay loyal to your brands, I was so shocked at the fact that the other 9 people said they did. so for example they would always buy Birdseye fish fingers as they are better than any other. Well I buy smart price fish fingers as tbh I don't eat them, Same with beans too I buy things that are on offer, stores Owen brand or smart price. I buy actual diet coke and I buy Hellmans mayo as iv tried all other mayos but my h can tell the difference but other than that I'm not loyal at all. I buy the better deals so I might buy something more expensive but it will last longer so my shopping bill changes regularly.
Do you stay loyal to brands or do you just buy the best deal?

I just buy whatevers on special, other than diet coke cos I don't like the cheaper ones

Best deal mostly. Except I buy Coca Cola and Branston Pickle.

I have to buy Heinz ketchup and beans but apart from that i tend to go with offers as much as possible. Oh and i always use Tampax as cheaper ones are rubbish ive found. H and i were actually talking about this recently as we've started shopping at Aldi and i noticed i was gravitating tiwards the brands and stuff that looked like the brands rather than 'strange' lookibg stuff!

We buy whatever is on offer.
Before I got with H, I'd stick to brands I knew and liked. He was the same, bur slowly it seems to be the more money we have, the tighter he gets.
I am quite brand loyal, I would never get value bread, beans etc, but I do buy value tomato sauce.
Always HP, always Hellmans, always Coke or Pepsi, Heinz tomato soup
Would never buy value meat at all

I was just having this conversation with a colleague. 90% of the stuff I buy is Asda own or Smart price - the only brands I buy are Branston beans, and diet pepsi or coke, heinz tomato soup, & Coco Pops (from the top of my head)
I stick to what I like whether thats branded, shop own or value. We have less money than we have ever had so we need to shop carefully!

Ha how funny Belle, H and L hate Branston beans

Most stuff is tesco own, but beans, tomato sauce and a few other bits are Heinz. Our cereal is branded too. Probably other buts are as well. I look at offers and try to buy in bulk to save money.

Not loyal to brands, I just buy the best deals whether it be a brand or shops own - some things I'll buy the basics as well, like tinned tomatoes. There's some brands that I don't particularly like either, Heinz baked beans for one!

The only brand things that i buy are quorn and diet pepsi. Anything else is always either own brand or if there is an offer.

i buy mostly asdas own brand unless anything is on offer, the only things that i stick to are heinz tom soup, budweiser, and i usualy stick to branded crisps.

I buy a lot of asdas own stuff but I have never bought cheap meat and I think will all this horsey stuff going on, I am glad of that!

I've never thought about it before but we mainly buy the same brands. Whether that be thr supernatural owners value brsbd such as outlined fruit juice, supermarket finest cottage pie or branded loo rolls. I'd guess about 60% of our stuff is branded, same each week, 30% own brand and only 10% bought because it's on offer.. mainly that's treats.. drinks, chocolate, crisps And biscuits but always branded.

I buy whatever works out cheapest or on offer.
13/02/2013 at 16:44
I buy whatever's on offer. I have to have Kellogg's Crunchy Nut, Heinz baked beans and decent loo roll. Everything else is whatever works out cheap without being TOO cheap. Certain things I'm happy to get Sainsbury's basics, e.g. bags of dried pasta, the basics white cheese (H loves it in his lunch).

I don't really think about brand loyalty but I tend to stick with what I know. To save money we have tried Asda own brand stuff instead of branded and if we like it we will stick with it, if not we go back.
I have just actually thought about the stuff that we buy and the majority of it is branded stuff but I do buy Value tomatoes and kidney beans and quite a few Asda own brand stuff like pasta, cereal (apart from Weetabix), kitchen roll and pull ups.

I am pretty brand loyal tbh, always Heinz beans and ketchup, Radox shower gel, Carex hand wash, Andrex quilted loo roll, Birds Eye Fish Fingers and Petit Pois, Tilda basmati rice etc.
We don't really buy own brand apart from chopped toms / kidney beans / herbs.
