I've been using bare minerals for a year, and though it does help my manky skin a bit the coverage isn't really enough for me, so am looking for something that will look good, but isn't too heavy IYSWIM? Happy to spend around £25.
I've used EL Double wear which looked good but was too heavy for my skin, and a MAC liquid one in the past, which I wasn't that keen on - though I appreciate they do lots of different types. I've used Benefit for primers, but never for foundations, and haven't heard a lot about them?
Any suggestions welcome as I can't summon the strength to do a complete beauty counter tour ATM!

I love smashbox studio fix foundation. Last for ages & gives good coverage.
I use their translucent powder too.

Ooh thanks Sa, I use their photo finish primer (think that's what it's called!) hadn't thought of their foundation. Is it quite heavy on the skin or not too bad?

I'd recommend Clinique's Even Better - it's a liquid but gives pretty good coverage. I tried a few before settling for this and I've been using it for a few years now.
It's got an SPF too I think and it's £23 at Debenhams

Fab, thanks chimps - have heard good stuff about clinique actually but have never tried them. Might see if I can get a sample of SB and clinique to give them both a whirl.

No problem- they're pretty generous with little sample pots I think. Hope you find one you like!

I'm using Even Better Clinique and its the best I've ever had. It helps that the skin tone match is perfect.

EL do a double wear light version - maybe try that if you like double wear? I used double wear light for my wedding and now use it for nights out, special occasions etc as its plenty coverage for me. Might give Even Better a go in the future :)

Ooh thanks Beez, will definitely go to clinique :)
BW - I did not know that! That could be a good option then as I did really like their coverage.
Feel armed now to go and investigate the make up counters with some good recommendations, thanks!
