Ella's freaked me out. I put her to bed for her lunch time nap and 5 mins later she started screaming 'let me out' and sounded a bit hysterical. Went into see what's wrong and she said 'something scary up there' pointing at the air con vent... She won't go back in her room!!
I'm a little bit scared. H is away this week too...

I hope it was just a dream? Shudder.
Maybe a fly or something? Can she describe it?

Could she have had a half awake/half asleep dream???
When C was about 3 or 4, he'd been in bed for about 30 minutes, and screamed a blood curdling "stop looking at me with those evil eyes". I was terrified too.

L woke at 3 this morning and said there was a scary monster shadow at his window - I made H go check

F**k me AK, I would have moved out that day and never returned!
WS, hopefully one of those half awake/half asleep dreams?
When I was about 10 at Brownie Camp there was a small hole in the ceiling of the dorm room. The girl in the bunk above mine started hysterically screaming in the middle of the night that fingers had reached through the hole and touched her. Cue absolutely zero sleep for a bunch of hyperactive 10 year olds!

She didn't say what it was just that it was scary. I put her in my bed and she's not mentioned it since waking up. I'll avoid it too. AKA that's terrifying! I'm not sure it was a dream as she had been in there no more than 5 minutes. I've called security to come take a look just in case there are mice or rats... Unlikely but better its checked!!

I got the shivers reading that WS..over active imagination on my part.

Oh goodness, that would freak me out as well. Do you think it could just have been a shadow or something?

oooh thats a bit freaky

Not likely a shadow with a black out blind! I'm hoping its just a 3 year olds imagination

I'm sure you'd hear scuttling if there was a rodent issue

That's what I thought Beez but the air con isn't quiet so could easily muffle the sound... There was nothing there apparently. It's bedtime so hopefully she will stay there now. No more mention of it yet!

Freaky! I hope it passes soon.
G has freaked me out twice in this house. One night she woke up crying and i went in to her and asked what was wrong and she said there was a man standing at the end of her bed looking at her.
The other time i heard really loud thundering footsteps in her bedroom early one morning when we were all still in bed. I called out and asked her if she was ok (she isnt a noisy child and never stomps about) and she walked into our room crying saying "it wasn't me though mummy. I was in bed"?!?!?!
I was too scared to go upstairs on my own for days!!

Eeeeeeek that would freak me out WS! Hopefully just her imagination.
When my sister was about 5/6 she went through a phase of saying there was a man in the corner of her room who watched her at night. She used to scream and scream in the middle of the night. I am 4.5 years older and so refused to go in her room for ages! At the time Mum told me it was nonsense but now admits it terrified her too and she used to send my dad in there at night!!
