I want to take H next week for his birthday - thought I'd be best leaving it until later to book but having looked now I'm paying £100+ for restricted views

Phew, that's pricey. What do you want to see?

It really oughtn't to be. In my view. I'm desperate to see The Book of Mormon but for 3 of us, with train and food it's a small fortune. I know so many people who'd take their kids/teens regularly if it were more accessible.

There is a website for cheaper tickets, cant think what it is though!

Couldn't agree more Counter! I'd love to take the girls to see a proper show but for 3 decent seats plus booking fees it's well over £100 plus train fares and drinks food etc. Even the kids theatres like Peppa Pig cost about £50. It's not cheap.
Thanks for that helpful input 1stBaby
It says on thw website it starts from £10 each, how many of you are going and when? Is it worth a google for cheaper?

QI websites always say that and I'd love to see a £10 seat. I'm looking at either next Fri evening or Sat either show 2 seats, all the seats are restricted views which takes the pee when you are charging that much.

I love Daniel Mays AR, that's why I want to go - glad to hear you enjoyed it. TBF it's pretty standard West End prices but it's not right to charge a full price seat for that area of the theatre if there is a restricted view.

Its frustrating when its so expensive isn't it? We went to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory on preview last year and paid a lot for good seats for a show that hadn't even opened (was very good).
This play has a good cast and a short run and has had good reviews. So its not suprising its hard to get tickets (but no help to you). Would you see something else instead?

I won't buy off a dodgy company 1stbany and lastminute isn't any cheaper anyway. I'm not sure what else is on Cedar this is right up my street and H likes Daniel Mays too. I'm struggling to get a sitter anyway now so probably won't happen

I'll have a check but fingers crossed I've got two for £70 + booking fee, just seeing if it goes through.

That sounds like a good price Belle, hope it goes through ok.
Tickets are so expensive to get anything decent in London aren't they - the last couple of years we went to see Chicago and Wicked, both well over £100 for the two of us (don't know exactly since they were both birthday presents for me), but we did have pretty good seats both times. Add onto that train tickets and hotel (although the hotel last year ended up being paid by MrDD's work since we were going to a conference for his work the Sunday), meal, drinks, etc it ends up a bloody expensive trip!

It is crazy how much it costs. We went to the panto this year, it cost us nearly £100 for 1 OAP, 3 adults and 1 child. There wasn't even anyone that famous in it.
