I do two things - put them on the FB selling page for here and sell for postage only costs (they have all gone this way to be honest) or with Lauren's bits which are for teens/women I put them in the cash for clothes pile and when I have enough I take them down to them or have it collected. I have made £27 and then £16.50 doing this which all adds up.

I give my daughter's to a local charity shop (or to other mums who have little girls). I figure they will either be able to resell them or sell them for recycling but either way the charity will get a bit of money and they are no longer cluttering up my house.

Are there any local women's refuges/shelters in your area? I bet they would take them. Alternatively the SureStart centres... they may have families in need that they are aware of who would be grateful for the clothes.

Local fb selling page, just list as free for collection? I'm sure someone will get use of them, worth a try anyway since it doesn't cost anything to list them

just to update you. I advertised the pjs on local selling FB pages. I had 7 pairs and I put them up for 30p each or all 7 for £2.00 and I've had loads of interest. people keep messaging me asking for them. So it seems if you price them cheap like car boot prices then people will take them. Not bad as I was considering putting them in the recycle bin.

so after I sold the pjs I had loads of people contact me and ask me if I more stuff and for more photos of boys clothes. I now have 4 different ladies all contacting me directly asking for 3-4 and 4-5 clothes. I've been really fair and priced carboot prices, 30p for tops, bundle of hoodies or jumpers for £1. I sold 50 pairs of socks for £4.50- that had the most people asking for! I have 6 bags of clothing lined up ready to drop off tomorrow after I help out at a toddler group. It's been quite cathartic sorting through stuff.
