I ordered a load of stuff with the club card boost. When I collected the order 2 boxes were missing so I called them and they resent free of charge, no questions asked etc. Only one more box arrived so I'm still missing a toy. I called them to be told it's now out of stock. I make a bit of noise about my two kids only having one toy between them so not only do Tesco refund for the missing toy they refund for the toy I do have as a good will gesture - nice one!
In the meantime the missing box from the original order turns up, so I now have two lots of 3 items. I return to store for a refund - no questions asked, points back on my statement and I'm told I can reorder that same day. I get home and can't order anything else as no points showing on my statement. I've just called them now to be told they won't show until the February statement. Again I make some noise about being told incorrectly I could use them again in the boost event so the lovely lady puts an order through for me over the phone using a 'gift card' and will deduct from my points when they go on in February.
So I've had a lovely little bonus from Tesco - 5 toys for free. Every Little Helps

No cos I've returned the 3 items I had which were duplicates and ordered different ones today - brucie!

I've complained to various companies recently about different things, and had some good responses, including some free Soap & Glory make up, and cheque reimbursement from Estee Lauder

This happened to me last week, ordered a toy for Isaac with club card boost, got package home and it was a mirror for a car, took it back girl refunded me cost of the toy AND mirror, I explained I just wanted toy, but toy now out if stock, so she let me keep all my points and I was £19.50 up, emailed them to ask if likely back in stock and explained what happened and they have have me £10.00 gift card for inconvenience (they are aware of double refund!)
Then a few weeks ago letter box messed me around with a toy garage, said it was out of stock and I'd be refunded 'in a few weeks' I contacted them daily, no reply, mentioned getting a solicitor involved due to no refund after 4 weeks, was refunded twice and the garage turned up!!!! Phoned them and they says they will send courier for garage, 3 weeks later No courier, phoned head office who told me to keep it.
Erm ok then!
Think shops just have so much work on at the moment that items are getting missed off deliveries and then they throw money at the problem iyswim,

I was mightily annoyed at letterbox, the bloody stress of trying to get them for 4 weeks, when the garage turned up I wanted to burn it....then realised it was a million times better than the ELC one so I'd keep it (and the double refund)
