My son is currently in a group 2 car seat, he is 4 and often falls asleep and he ends up flopping around the car. The seatbelt doesn't hold him place. I have tried wedging pillows, coats and anything in the car to help support him but he ends up nearly doubled over. I find it so distracting and often have to pull over to reposition him. Does anyone know what I can do?

I think I might be able to help here!! I replied to an advert in my local press, to try and report back on a device that attaches to the car seat belt that holds my child upright in her seat even when sleeping. It does exactly that, she's more comfy, I don't worry about her falling asleep now. I even used to have her on the front seat holding her up with my spare arm! The extra device has been crash tested and approved by the fire service so my little girl wasn't in any danger. Lots of other Mums at school have had the same problem with their car seats that only use the car seat belt to hold their children in place. They just don't seem as safe as the 5 point harnesses. This new thing makes the seat look much safer. I got to keep mine and it's brilliant, so simple and easy to use. They cost less than £20 and can be bought online at www.beltupp.com . Defo worth a try!
