    PM

On Saturday night K asked if she could have some "grown up" makeup for Christmas. I asked what she meant by grown up, she said the stuff you use Laugh As much as I love her, no 13yo needs to be spending £20 on a mascara. She currently has Maybelline & Rimmel masacara's, Rimmel eye shadow, and gazillions of nail varnishes. I won't let her wear pressed powder or foundation yet as there is no need, her skin is beautiful.

I've heard some Hitched OTers talking about the Soap & Glory eye set, and another one which name escapes me.

    Any suggestions?

Yes s&g is lovely if you want to treat her but slightly expensive for everyday use (for that age iykwim). Be warned I think the glosses are plumpers, but eyeshadow pallets are great as are bronzes and blushers. What about Barry m or gosh?

Yes Barry M, Rimmel, 17 are all the makes that my 13-15 year old nieces use. Barry M seems to be particulary popular.  Although the oldest one has asked for Mac for Christmas!!  ha ha!

Barry M that's the dude. He does funny nail varnish doesn't he. I'll grab a few of that range i think bit different to her usual Rimmel. I find a lot of teen makeup is cheap and smells.

Yeah, thats the fella. Maybellines not bad either and thats not too dear. You could mix it up and get a couple of each.

I think I'm going to get them one "nice thing" each, my sister probably wont thank me for it but tough titty. I'm the cool auntie! Its 3 for 2 on some make up so I'll maybe get them a nice lipgloss from S&G. It does say they are plumping but I've got 2 of them myself and they dont plump my lips at all, plus they smell all fruity and teens love all that!

p.s is there no smilies on here?

I started using Clinique at 15...

What's Ruby & M...? (can't quite remember the name) - that's supposed to be young and trendy isn't it?

Do you use any clinique stuff yourself Kat? Just thinking you could get whatever you use at one of their bonus times and give her the makeup bits out the freebie. As well as Barry m stuff or whatever

Urban decay looks grown up and is reasonably priced I think? Used to get it in boots.

Oh god I was smothered in the stuff at 13 Agent BlackKat. Don't you remember heather shimmer lipstick and awful pressed powders from Collection 2000? Her request for gown up make up comes from me really as I tell her so often, don't buy cheap makeup it will only ruin your skin. Invest in decent products.

I've looked at the UD stuff and tbh it's mainly eyeshadows which she doesn't wear. I'm thinking a mascara, some blusher and a fabby lipgloss.
