In the absence of wine, please hold my hand this bedtime. C has worked out that saying he needs a wee gets him out of bed. A total of 15 times last night and then continually throughout the night...to the point where I lost it and told him to wee himself and ignored him for the rest of the night.
he went down at 7, so far he has been twice, told me he needs to go 6 times to which I've put a potty in his room and told him he is to do it in there. He said he wants to be a baby again and have a nappy. i wonder if the new baby is on his mind??? Anyhow, I don't have the energy for a 2nd night of game playing!!!
UPDATE....well he wenf to sleep after 45 minutes of hysterically screaming that he wanted a wee. He woke at 1amand 3 am asking so I took him. 8 hours without a wee and a tiny bladder isnt too unreasonable is it?? But then at 3:30am the hysterical screaming started again so I called in that if he needed to go he would have to use his potty. This morning there was the smallest dribble in there, he must have really tried hard to squeeze it out. So better than Sunday night but nowhere close to perfect!

Il always sympathise with a mother losing sleep. Your doing right leaving him with the potty IMO. As hard as I can imagine it being I'd smile and let him get on with it, do you need to be with him or can you just let him carry on. If he isn't winding you up he will tire himself out and it will lose its appeal messing. Good luck!

U tries the done a poo excuse. Neither of mine are dry overnight yet so I ahve this to look forward to! As QS I have much sympathy when it comes to this sort of thing
Oh bless you hun, he is a clever one that Conks. I would let him wet himself, I think alot of it is attention and knowing he can get away with things - good luck - virtual wine here x

He is still screaming now....going mental in fact, but he hasn't used the potty and he hasn't wet himself yet so in my rational mind I know I'm doing the right thing. I'm exhausted and would just rather he went to bed nicely. I'd love to know whats started it off as he has been dry for a good few weeks now, and has pretty much always slept through. These things are sent to try us as they say!

Glad to hear he went off after 45mins. What do the olds do when he's having his tantrums? I say keep at it, he's just testing you like he did when he went into his big bed hon x

Was just going to shut out for an update. Glad it went better last night, I'm sure he will soon tire of it, like Belle says stick with it, he is just testing you. The potty is a good idea x
