I went last night, I haven't been to the flicks for soooo long to watch an adult film. I think about 6 years ago In fact.
i actually loved the film, thought the actors were brilliant. Very sad thou, had me blubbering at a lot of points.
anyone else seen it, what did you think of it?

Even Russell Crowe's singing didn't put me off
I've seen it several times on the stage though too so I'm a big fan already.

I haven't seen it on stage and actually know nothing about it but I really want to see it!

Beez, he done quite well but I think if I saw it again he'd get I. My nerves a bit! I really want to seethe stage show now.
LL I didn't know a huge amount about it, it's a sad story but in a strange way I felt good for having seen it!? It's a long one thou and there is literally a few words spoken and the rest is sung.
When Anne Hathaway cut her hair off I felt physically sick :'-(

Yes I saw it last week and I loved it! I adore musicals/theatre but les mis hasn't appealed to me but I so want to see it now. I thought Hugh Jackman was wonderful and I thought Russell Crowe was good (had heard lots of negative things). It was so good. I want the soundtrack x

Ebb, I thought Hugh was good and quite good looking for an older man?! I'd heard negative things too but thought they were very good seeing as they are mainly actors.
The songs are in my head now though :-/

Hugh is gorgeous :) not so much in les mis but in other films and when he is interviewed! He is also a seasoned musical theatre actor appearing in big shows in the west end xx

EBB I agree Hugh is gorgeous!

Still haven't had chance to go, maybe Tuesday next week, but can't wait. Love the musical, we even attempted it as a school show a few years ago, which rot be fair we had amazing kids at the time and was the best show we've ever done!

I saw it a couple of weeks ago, I went with the girls. They had all seen it on stage, but even though I hadn't I still got it. When the singing first started I thought it was going to be a bit much for a few hours worth of watching but it flowed ok and I enjoyed it. I didn't get why everyone was blubbing, I don't really get up set about films/programs etc.

I was in two minds about seeing it, might give it a go now after reading so many positive reviews on here! I do like musicals, but wasn't sure Les Mis would be my kind of thing, sounds like it's worth seeing though x

I seem to have this mental block when it comes to musical films v's stage performances. I love going to see a show up town. I think I would have enjoyed the stage show of Les Mis more than the film.
