Belle I need a job in your place!
Yeah it's the work Christmas lunch- private dining room all paid for :)

The kids have a better social life than us sometimes weekender.
Belle that's great, I'm well jealous, we get an hour and a half to go to the pub down the road for our lunch and even that was a push.
The Singing Kettle - kids performers from fife, probably don't do shows down your way, M is obsessed with them!

Never heard of it!
I get these nice perks but have to work fecking long hours!
16/12/2013 at 18:23
I've never heard of them either.
You deserve all of the perks for working the long hours. Is it a traditional Christmas lunch tomorrow?
16/12/2013 at 18:38
Yep tomorrow is champagne and canapés soup then roast turkey with all the trimmings followed by Christmas pudding and cheese and port. I won't fit in my jumpsuit for fri if I eat too much
16/12/2013 at 18:42
Ooh I'm so jealous of the turkey and champagne. I don't like Christmas pudding or cheese and port though. I'm having a homemade burger and chips for my Christmas lunch on Thursday

Nothing, apart from christmas crafts with the kids.

C's got Christmas dinner at school tomorrow, and a pyjama party in his class on Thursday, and I'm also taking him to see Santa Thursday after school (possibly still in pyjamas if he comes home in them!)
I've got a Christmas concert/get together/party thing with my singing society on Sunday, so after have a meal with ILs, we're all going there for singing and nibbles - probably be a bit late for C, but since he's not at school on Monday I'm not too worried.
I'd been invited for lunch at work on Thursday, but it's my day off so I'm not coming all the way to work for that, especially when we have to pay ourselves!

Lots of lovely Christmassy things going on. Belle, can you get us all a job please? We've been lucky this year in that our company have at the last minute provided us all £10 for a Christmas meal because we did well in Ofsted. That's as much as we're getting. Champagne canapés, and fancy restaurants would be nice.
As for us, tomorrow is E's Christmas playgroup party. They have hired the local soft play so we're going there, and they have said I can take S, as he will be joining the playgroup from Feb.
Thursday we're going to the Chinese with our £10 from work for our Christmas meal. Normally I wouldn't choose to go out with them, but it's a free meal. we don't fancy a traditional turkey dinner so Chinese it is.
Friday we're going to the softplay again for their Christmas disco. My sister is assistant manager so go to go and support her.

Yesterday we had our office Christmas party, which was good fun. I left before things got very messy as I expect they did towards the end.
Tomorrow is my daughter's Christmas play.
Saturday I think we might do a visit to Father Christmas in the morning. Then drop my daughter off at my parents where she is staying the night, and we're off for a night out.
Sunday my parents will come for lunch and bring her back.
