Hi everyone, After reading the recent news about an NHS 111 medical helpline call-centre allegedly not running as well as it should, we were wondering have you rung 111 recently? If so, did you have to wait long? Did you receive good advice?

I've rang 111 a fair few times and they have been great! They've only sent a ambulance out once, and have got us emergency doctor appointments when needed (some early hours of morning but who's complaining if your child is sick) even have great advise when my son got into the fabric conditioner.....(oops) they come in hand if your worried if unsure too for advise :)

I used 111 in December when I had my miscarriage, though not confirmed yet,they helped greatly with how to cope and I got a emergency appointment with my doctor.
They also told me to dose up on paracetamol and use heating packs to reduce the pain I was feeling. They answered quickly and listened to what I had to say x

I've used 111 loads of times for both my boys and myself - they've always been fantastic and have arranged out of hours Dr appointments, calls from nurses and paramedics as well as advised when to go to A+E.
I've also used them whilst working (I'm a community carer) when 999 wasn't necessary and again never had any complaints.
