just joined the site as I was looking for some advice and reassurance! I'm 14 weeks with my 2nd child and absolutely drained by constant sickness. It's literally all day long and eases around 7-8pm. Struggling to eat at all and have been bed bound today totally drained. Hoping it eases soon and I can start to enjoy this!
it sounds silly but it just feels like I'm doing a rubbish job of this. I have to walk 2 miles to get my 8 year old from school and once we get back (after sometimes stopping in the bushes to be sick) I have to straight to bed for a lie down. Poor thing sits in front of the telly till i can manage to sort my dizziness & sickness out.
sorry to rant on my first post! Looking forward to showing properly and feeling flutters - good things will come eh!
Here to chat x

stopping in the bushes to be sick awwww this was like my friend, she used to work on school busses (the disabled ones who pick kids up and take them to school and back) and she used to have to ask the driver to stop so she could be sick lol she would always keep a bag in her pocket lol. how were things with your first pregnancy? when did the sickness stop then?
with my first pregnancy it stopped at 12wks, and with my second it stopped at around 10weeks then returned at 12wks until gone 17wks. was the worst with my second, dragging on so long, nothing helped! and i felt so bad for my child, thankfully was just a baby at the time so didnt understand. and also she napped alot so i would nap too which helped, but as soon as i woke from a nap the sickness would flare up again as though it were morning lol. once the sickness had gone i felt great, and the movements really cheered me up too. i know you probs cant imagine it happening but you will feel much better soon and forget how it feels to have morning sickness

bless you!! this is number 4 for me and im finding it very hard! i try to keep going as much as i can during the day as my sickness starts about 230pm (just in time for the afternoon school run) and lasts until bed time im nearly 14 weeks and my sickness left at 9 weeks and came back at 11!!
as for having to put lo in frount of tv i dont blame you. my older two have been spending alot more time on the computer than id normally allow just so i can go easy!
you are not doing rubbish job i promise many of us feel the same

Hi everyone! Been a tiny bit better today im hoping this is the sign things are improving. Hearing other peoples experiences gives you a bit of a boost and makes you realise the sickness is just a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things!
Louise the sickness wasn't too bad with my first I guess that's why I wasn't expecting this lol! It was 8 years ago though so maybe I forgot!!
everyone is saying it might be a boy this time won't find out til the scan 6th Jan. (if they can tell me) which is also my hubby's birthday so it would be a lovely present to know the sex!
LH86 you don't have long left and you will have a beautiful baby in your arms keep thinking of that xx

Glad your feeling a bit better. Everyone was convinced this was a boy as it has been a total opposite pregnancy but it's another girl. We were all shocked! X
