Thank you all. I didn't realise I'd get a response, I've often been quite nasty about people who complain about smokers because I really had tried that many times and I thought they were a bit out of order quite a lot of the time but after I've had to deal with around the 6th or 7th cold this year and it's really hard with two poorly kids, enough was enough. They might stand a chance of having me play with them in the garden more often. Having said that, My hubby still smokes but we've never smoked indoors and he says without trying to he's cut down to half of what he would have had when we smoked together. (I could kill for one now but I think I'd be so dissapointed with myself I'm just being stubborn now. It's a lovely feeling of control which I've never had before and I have to thank my sis in law even though she'll probably not see this but she gave up over a fortnight ago and I really think it was her who made me think if she can I can too. She's had hypnotherapy and everything and smoked for over 30 years so I think she's amazing. I know it's really hard to quit and I don't think I'll be allowed to say I don't smoke for at least 6 months (and mean it) but I do know my Haggerston fund is £60.00 healthier this week. That's a whole ten minute visit to the stupid helium balloon shop. If anyone wanted to join me I'd love that. I thought about how I could get people to sponsor me to stop to raise money for tommys but I'm not allowed to do that (I don't think I'm allowed to collect for charity without permission anyway) and I don't want to sit here saying non smokers are brill! But I do feel a bit like shouting from the rooftops at the minute and would love any suggestions of how I could use it to do something for charity?
Anyway. I love this site and you've all been lovely to me. Am I allowed to tell my friends to register because I know quite a few people who I think could benefit a lot from this site even just for someone to talk to and something to do late at night. Hope to speak soon. I'm a bit of a night owl because it's the only me time I get so in the middle of the night.

Will do Helen, thanks.
I had grandchild number eight 11 weeks ago, he looks so much better than he did when he was smoking think he realised he wanted to see the grandkids grow up and had more chance if he stopped.
It's easy for me to say because i have never smoked , but i think the fact you are doing for your children will keep you focused you are doing really well. sorry lots of waffle feeding my baby at the same time.
like others have said come on here when you get a craving. take care
