E loves wearing leggings but she's so tall and skinny that often the waist is far to big and they fall down a lot (she's wearing age 4-5 for length but she'd probably fit a 2-3 waist)
I've managed to put folds in the waist of some of her pyjamas to make them smaller but I've not tried it with leggings as I'm worried about them looking strange. Anybody got any suggestions/advice on how to make the waist smaller on her leggings?

If they're elasticated you could unpick the waistband and shorten the elastic so that they were tighter. Bit fiddly though! Don't know why they don't do more adjustable waists on leggings, we used to have the same problem.

My niece has this problem, she's 7 and very tall but skinny as a rake. My sister has to buy jeggings for her with adjustable waists

Its a bit of a pain, because we have to avoid most things with an elasticated waist as they're never small enough, but at least there is a good selection of adjustable waist trousers these days (in my day they didn't have them and my mum had to sew elastic into things).
She just really likes colourful leggings and I want her to be able to wear them. It just seems so much effort for a pair of 3 pound leggings.
