I'm going to a wedding reception tomorrow. I have this dress:
You can also see it here.
Ignore the cheapy pearls, I've cut them off.
I'm wearing it with black opaque tights.
What colour shoes? What accessories? I'm more than happy to go down the pearl route, I'm just not going to wear plastic ones when I have a double strand of freshwater on my dressing table
The only catch is, I have to able to physically hunt the stuff down in a store as I need it tomorrow. And it needs to be cheapish!

What budget do we have?
Do you wear high or low heels?
Have you got any black heels already or nude peeptoe? And bags?

I'd rather not spend more than £20 on the shoes. Mid heels are probably better, but I could push to a platform as long as the heel isn't stiletto thin! Flats would be fine too, they just need to be dressy enough.
I have no dressy shoes. Threw them all away in a pregnant haze. I can probably dig out a bag of some description. Have quite a few of those!

Black peep toes would be nice. New look have 25% off with the voucher codes app if you use it in store. I got lovely court shoes for £15!!!!!

Rats! If only I'd known this! I just bought the bloody dress in New Look!!

Yeah i would go for black or i have seen some black lace type shoes with a cream undertone which would look good with pearl type jewels

S - you could always buy the dress again and get the 25% off and then take the original one back???

I love these from tesco!

This sounds awful Gillsy, but I couldn't be bothered! I can't believe I just said that. I'm such a cheapskate usually.
Missus S, love those T-bars! And there are 5 Tesco stores within 25 minutes of my house so one of them is bound to have something! I have an oversized black patent clutch that I can root out too.
Now just need to figure what on earth I'm going to do with my hair. Eurgh.
Thank you for helping me out!

Just to confirm - I meant buy the dress again tomorrow with 25% off, wear that one and take back the one you've already bought and not worn. I didn't mean you should wear it and then take it back lol
First night on here so don't want to blow my credibility within the first hour lol

Gillsy that is something i would do. I paid £70 for a jasper conran dress last year, a week later it was in the sale half price! I returned the original for a refund after buying it half price online
14/12/2012 at 21:23
Haha! I got what you meant. I'm just incredibly lazy at the moment! I also don't think the store had another in the same size. I really need to get in the habit of checking for these vouchers before buying stuff!
14/12/2012 at 22:22
What size feet are you?
14/12/2012 at 22:37
I'm a 7 Rusty.
Missus S, I'd do it for a saving like that! But not for a couple of quid. What is happening to me?!
14/12/2012 at 22:44
Oh, me too. Let me see what I have...

I would go with plain black stilettos which I'm sure you could get in any high street store. Lovely dress btw.
