I offered to do pudding for Boxing Day at the ILs - what can I make? They are pretty traditional, the choice is usually gateau/trifle/Vienetta or similar, so something along those lines but maybe with a bit of a twist. Needs to be pregnancy friendly as well please! All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Crumble? With unusual fruit?

That could work QI, I've got some mirabelle plums in the freezer from last year. I was wondering about lemon meringue pie otherwise - I've got an egg surplus again so would use up some of them but I probably couldn't make it in advance.

I don't know how these would work pregnancy wise but my fav puddings to take are lemon posset & New York cheesecake.

What about pavlova if you have loads of egg to use?

I'm going to buy a yule log as never have them at home as parents think it's too heavy after a big dinner.
If your making, then there is a load of ideas here:
I also like the idea of some simple cupcakes iced like Xmas puds / xmas trees / snowmen but I guess they appeal to any kids more than adults!

That's looks delicious Missus! Now I have a dilemma, do I make MrDD the cheesecake that he usually has and his Mum makes him every year for Christmas, or go for something different and make a malteser one??
