E is 11 this month. ELEVEN. I am so OLD!
Anyway, she's asked for a photoshoot party (it was her suggestion, honest) so I've got the photo studio booked for a couple of hours later in the month.
Obviously photos will be taken, but what else is there that could be appropriate for a girlie party?
I was thinking of getting a friend to do the girls hair, nothing extravagant as there won't be time, just a few curls and a bit of glitter spray or something. Make up - is that too much for 11 year olds? I know a face painter and she's awesome at it, I was thinking I could invite her to do that instead of make up - paint those flowery things on the side of their face/arms as I doubt they'll want to be a tiger or spiderman like the kids at last weekends party. Do I need to provide some sort of entertainment other than One Direction her iPod?

Oh how fab! 11 is fine for makeup imo, bit of lip gloss and blusher, girls her age love it. But equally those flower patterns on face and arm sound cool and possibly the safer option.
Are they going to bring clothes to change into, or have you got gimiccky glassses & hats etc that they will use in the pictures?
Other than music - what about nibbles, cake and drinks?

i woulod put a few nibbles out so they can snack. i would say make up is ok for an 12 yr old but would thep arents of the other girls be funny with it? that would make me think the face paint is a better option

I'll get them to bring changes of clothes, I have a massive collection of props so they can knock themselves out with all that. I'm sure the other girls parent's would be ok with a dab of blusher and a bit of lip gloss. That's my limit!
Going to get some cupcakes and cake pops on order, might do some dips and crisps - wasn't planning to do much food because I'm on a time limit and I want any clearing up to be minimal! Must remember the veuve clicquot for me though

You'd need some kind of food so a few nibbles would do it with the cakes and cake pops.
Where is your studio? I want some up to date pics of us lot.

Nibbles and cake it is then.
I hire studios, the one I'm in most regularly is near Tunbridge Wells but there's also another in Bexley I use.

So I'd book you for a session and you'd then book the studio? Do you have a website FB page or something?

Yep, pretty much how it works. Facebook - www.facebook.com/EmmaLouisePhotographyKent and current studio session info is here.
