Right ladies, my geography is cr9p, so I need your help
We are planning a week away in July and I'm running out of time as usual! Stepson has requested we go to Legoland at Windsor - I think I've read on here that Legoland Discovery at Manchester is a waste of time, so have ruled that out as an alternative. So if we go to Windsor (which is a trek from here - about 8 hrs), then I'm thinking we'd go to Peppa Pig World too while we are down that far anyway, make the most of it. So where would you stay?? I'm looking for self catering accommodation - whether that be a caravan, lodge or a cottage/apartment type thing. Obviously we want to fill the rest of the week and I'd prefer holiday type stuff, you know ice creams, fish and chips, seaside perhaps??
I've no idea where the best place to stay would be - any ideas? I looked at Dorset which would be nice for the seaside bit, but think that's a bit too far away from both Peppa and Lego...

Mid way between the 2 is about Winchester really- somewhere along the m3 you want to be. Might be easiest to stay one night before LL, then move on to the new forest? It's lovely down there. Plenty of holiday parks. We stayed at www.hoburne.com/.../hoburne-naish which would be 25 mind from pp world. It had lovely indoor and outdoor pools, a little soft play, massive park, footy pitch etc.

Thanks WH, that park looks lovely, I like the sound of it. Might be a plan to do a night around Legoland and move on from there.

I'm not sure about anywhere inbetween but when we visit Peppa Pig World we stay in the New Forest. We have stayed in some lovely cottages in Lyndhurst and Minstead. Peppa Pig World is about a 10 min drive from these places. It is about a 40 minute drive to Bournemouth too so we spend a couple of days at the beach. As well as this, there are beautiful little villages you can visit, nice walks, animal sanctuaries, farm parks to visit. We were never short of things to do. Here are the places we stayed:-
We stayed the night at a Premier Inn or something similar near Legoland.
Good luck and enjoy!
