Struggling!! I am getting a micro scooter for her main present but everyone keeps asking what to get? Any top toy recommendations??
so far I have (with my 9 year olds help from the Smyths toy catalogue!!):
Doc Mcstuffins check up centre and Jake and the pirates figure set
Anyone got any of these?
She likes Doc Mcstuffins/Jake/Sophia/Peppa but a lot of her toys don't get played with so don't want to waste money but most are a bit young now.
Am also looking for a really good set of wooden building blocks (different shapes)
It's difficult at this age as a lot of toys are either age 3+ or too young now!

My little boy is just 2, but for Xmas I got him the following little bits - play stuff for his kitchen he's getting and these wooden cutting food, he tried them at a friends and sat and played with them for ages
also some stickle bricks as something different. Playdoh is always a hit here. My dad got this for my niece who was 2 this week

I have got my 2.5 yr old a light up pillow pet (he goes mental when it is advertised), Jake and the neverland pirates stuff (bucky ship), hot wheels, and a road rug, duplo, play food, sticker books, happyland stuff, beanbag, arts/crafts stuff, DVDs, books, bath toys, jigsaws, toy dinosaurs.
I don't go by the age of toys, I go by what j is capable of playing with. Being the youngest of 4, he is always playing with his siblings toys, so is used to "older" things.

Thanks for those ideas! I purchased a Jake pirate ship tonight. My little girl also has a 9 year old brother so plays with things much older (ipod/ipad/lego etc!) so it's really difficult.
Cleo, I love wooden toys and the cutting playfood is a great idea. We already have a kitchen with plastic food, again we have a lot of stuff already because of the older sibling.
