We are going away for 10-14 days in August. Iv found flights and have 3 villas to choose from and its working out about £900ish or just over as I want to get Isaac his own seat (he's a tonne, I couldn't have him on my lap all that time), so I think that's actually a really good price, h seems to think we could get a fortnight much much cheaper if we booked a vvvv last min package deal ie booked the day before, I don't think I want to risk it tbh and I think that just under a grand for 10-14 days in a villa is fab but he wants to wait. Would we really save that much???? Iv booked a few holidays last minute but not as a family so not sure how often those deals come up. Would you just go for the villa (before the flights go up and up and up?)

I'd book it, £900 for four of you?? That's fab, where are you going? I don't think you'd get it cheaper than that even last minute. I'd be tempted to chance booking something abroad rather than UK for that kind of price.

Is that just the flights or the villa as well?

No villa as well, I think we should just book. Iv not added on isaacs cost yet remember so itl be closer to a grand but I still think that's fantastic!

I'd book. I think that last minute deals are great if you can be flexible about location, etc. Once you have children your requirements change and you have to look at lot more carefully at what's on offer with a last minute deal. I'd rather know than have that last minute uncertainty.

So £900 for 4 flights and a villa in AUGUST for 10-14 days? No brainer.
I know cedar I'd prefer just to know where we are going and try to plan stuff for the children, the thing with vvvv last minute is that sometimes you don't even know what the hotel is which us fine if its just me and h but I don't want to do that with the kids

Where are you going for that price?? Tell him we're looking for a similar holiday but for one week and it's costing us 3 grand
Just book it, what yougonna save going vvv last minute? £200. You'd be silly not to and get saving for spends. Job done.
I know belle but what I'm meaning is will it get much cheaper for vvv last minute? I wouldn't have thought so but h thinks we could get a propper bargain if we waited but obviously if we waited and then nothing suits then flights go up and the villas are booked....arrrgh!
Plus its a bargain price for August, I'm not convinced you'll get anything much cheaper nearer the time (well, not for anywhere you actually want to go to).

JUST BOOK IT WOMAN!
We are going to Murcia (hopefully) flying from Glasgow though so will stay at my parents the night before and park there, flying from Glasgow when they go back to school so its not school holidays up there.
We won't need a car there as iv been before and everything is near where we would be staying.

I'm going to book it! Just waiting on emails coming back from the villa people I emailed last night. Then choose one. Hope flights don't shoot up eek!

I'd book it. Sounds like a good deal to me plus I don't like doing things last minute as I'm a bit of a control freak!

Sounds like a great deal, especially for that time of year! I wouldn't risk counting on a last minute deal because they don't always have them.

God, for that price, I would be booking now. What are the villa details?

I've just picked a handful of villas on iwners direct, didnt want one on a golf resort, they are classed as villas/town houses, there are some for £190 a week in August but ud def need a car for those ones which is a shame as they look lovely but a car would be anywhere between £2-400 so we aren't doing that. So flights (without seat for Isaac) was £512 and the house was anything from £400-450 for 10 days but I'd need to add on £60 for the end if holiday clean but I do def think its a good deal.

That is a bargain CP, don't list to your H, book it.
My Nan is terrible for telling us to leave things last minute when booking holidays, but we saved £400 by booking almost 12 months in advance for this years holiday. I've been checked the prices and they keep going up.
