That may be the weirdest thread title i've ever written!!
We are going to Longleat center parcs in 2 weeks, It's for H's 30th which is the Saturday we are there. I want to bake him a cake and take it with us, but surprise him with it. Trouble is if i do one in advance it'll have to travel in a box so it doesn't get mushed and i'd have to sneak it into the car when we pack and out the other end. What can i disguise it as? More trouble than it's worth? Shall i just tell him? We have booked lunch out on his birthday, i did think i could ring ahead and ask the restaurant to sort one. But that might be pricey and i really wanted to make it.....

those big boxes of pampers are pretty sturdy, you could put it in a cake box inside the pampers box? just say it's full of nappies and wipes etc and pack extra nappies around it to help disguise it and stop the box from rattling around. Oh it's like a spy thriller!

I can't think of anything better than Carole's idea - which is fab! I'd do the pampers box.

Firstly, I got excited as I live very close to the longest Center Parcs and my dad is in charge of one of the places down there. Anyway.. If you are thinking of making a cake I would go with Carole's idea. If you want to buy one then I'm sure they can arrange that for you either in one of the restaurants or the parc market has its own bakery. I could find out if yoU like ?

Thanks ladies. The box idea is a good one....only problem is we will be tight for space in the car BUT i can probably make that work. Bea that's really kind, thank you. It's worth knowing they have a bakery actually, perhaps i'll call them tomorrow when H is at work and find out how much it'd cost to get one made.
